Medaram Sammakka Sarakka Medaram Jatara Samalkha Saralamma Jatara Festival Telangana Kumbh Mela  Sammakka Saralamma Jatara or Medaram Jatara is a tribal festival in honor of the celebrated goddesses in the Telangana State, India. It is reminiscent of the struggle of a mother and daughter, and Sammakka Saralamma, with the reigning rulers against an unjust law. It is believed that after the Kumbh Mela Medaram Jatara the largest number of followers draws on the country.

Many tribal followers from different states of India (Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Orissa, Maharashtra, Karnataka and parts of Jharkhand) to reach the festive place to celebrate the Jatara.

Sammakka Sarakka Jatara is held, the time for the largest tribal religious community in the world, every two years (every two years), converge with about six million people in the place, over a period of three days, 90 km from Warangal city.

Samakka refused and decided the offer to continue the fight to avenge the dead. The fight continued and Sammakka was seriously injured.

Samakka told her people, as long as they remembered her, she would protect them. Then she cursed perish the Kaktiya Dynasty And wounded with this body walked toward Chilakala Gutta and disappeared into the forest.

Jampanna Vagu is a tributary to the river Godavari. According to the story, Jampanna is the tribal warriors and the son of the tribal goddess Sammakka. The Jampanna Vagu took his name when he is in a battle in the fight against Kakatiyan army in this stream .The Jampanna Vagu still red in color marked with the blood of Jampanna died (Scientifically the red color of the water is on the composition of the soil attributed). Tribal believes that in the red water of Jampanna Vagu take a holy dip she remembers the sacrifices of their gods, they store and also induces courage in their souls.
There is a bridge built on Jampanna Vagu above, known as Jampanna Vagu bridge.
